Pastor Brian Borin has deep roots in Oregon as a 5th generation Oregonian (fun fact: Brian's birth surname was 'Boring,' the family after which the local town was named).  After spending most of his career in various pastoral and worship leading roles (including a previous call here at West Hills), Brian recently has begun teaching music in the North Clackamas school district.    He is energized by interpersonal authenticity and growth wherever it is found and tries to incorporate these values into community worship gatherings.  He is married to Heather and has two kids, Caden (CJ) and Kenna.

Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Portland Seminary; MAT (Teaching) from George Fox University, BA in Music Theory and Music Ministries from Warner Pacific College; Ordained in Word and Sacrament from the Evangelical Covenant Church.

pastor of children & families, lynette

Lynette is a native Midwesterner, who grew up in Illinois and Wisconsin. It was in a cornfield in Illinois where she first met Jon in 2000 as they prepared for a missions trip to Europe. Even while studying magazine journalism in college, Lynette felt called to ministry and helping those in the church understand their identity and call in Christ. Deeply passionate about the Bible, she is learning Hebrew and hoping to relearn Greek. In working with kids and their families she longs for the Bible to be a native language for kids and for them to experience God in profound ways. Jon and Lynette have three kids, Ari, Noa and Ava. In the very small amount of free time Lynette has you’ll find her reading, editing, or baking.
Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies from Multnomah University and Bachelors of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication with a major in magazine journalism and a concentration in religion and philosophy from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
