ANTI-RACISM RESOURCES

“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” - Micah 6:8

This is not an exhaustive list by any means and not everything will resonate with everybody. That’s okay. It might be for someone else. We are all different parts of one body. We encourage you to find at least one thing that resonates for you. The work of racial justice is part of being a disciple of Jesus. It is the everyday work of loving God, neighbor, and self. Seeking God’s kingdom first and righteousness/justice in the private and public spaces. The hardest work is not reading a book or watching a movie, but allowing God to search and dismantle our mindsets, hearts, attitudes, and racist systems and transform them into something new and whole that brings God’s kin-dom on earth as it is in heaven. This is our witness to the world of who God is by how we love. Don’t do the work alone - share what you are doing with a trusted friend or invite them to do it together. Sanctification happens in the context of community.
