I'm interested!
You are invited to join a brand new “missional community” group starting this fall.
As a church we’re excited to refresh and re-emphasize our Community Groups. We have three new groups forming that we’re calling Missional Communities that will incorporate elements of scripture, community and mission in their local neighborhood. We’re also inviting all our existing groups to incorporate the Missional Community model by taking simple steps to pursue these three elements that we are preaching about in the current sermon series.
UPWARD: SCRIPTURE
Engage and encounter Scripture in honest ways that lead into a more authentic relationships with Jesus.
INWARD: COMMUNITY
Cultivate a space of hospitality, vulnerability, and care with an intentionally small group and experience the deep connection that comes with caring and praying for one another.
OUTWARD: MISSIONAL
Provide local opportunities for loving generously as witnesses to who God is through neighborhood-based groups. Partner with West Hills folks from multiple generations that live nearby and discover new ways to care for our communities together.
New groups will meet for dinner and have a time of studying and the time and days will be decided by the group once formed. Children are welcome.
We are hoping to form our new groups based on location so each group can focus on knowing, loving, and serving its local neighborhood well. We're asking that you let us know you're interested so we can help facilitate meetings in the areas where we have the most people.
We’ll be in touch with information about groups near you and help your group get started in September.
(Thinking about joining but you don’t have the time to commit to a group in the fall? We’re hoping to start another set of new groups in January 2018, so if this is a busy season for you, there will definitely be another opportunity.)
