worship services

At West Hills, we strive to create space for authentic connection with the living God and one another. Jesus is the center of what we do, and this is certainly reflected in our weekly worship. Children ages preschool through 5th grade join us during the first part of the service, then are dismissed to classes for their age groups.

how we offer up our worship

MUSIC - We have many gifted musicians and worship leaders in our congregation, and they currently lead us in musical worship every week, along with guest worship leaders from the city.

ART - There isn't a room on the church grounds where you won't find some form of visual artistic expression of our identity as a church, which is founded on Jesus, Scripture, and relationships. We are always inviting and welcoming of artists and creative ways of expression.

Musical worship has always been how I feel closest to the Lord, whether through singing at my dad’s church in Hawaii or by myself in the car. It is my hope and prayer that I can humbly lead our church family to the same spirit of worship that I find myself in when singing.

Nathaniel Rodrigues

I love the ability for the body of Christ to worship with homogeneity of purpose and heterogeneity of expression. To tremble, to dance, to agonize, to laugh - with the sound of ukuleles or orchestras - we run to God and find that God was already running towards us.

Rachel Wolverton

Musical worship has always been how I feel most connected to God. There’s no better way for my heart to reconnect to the source. It gives me great joy to serve the body of Christ with my family, helping be a conduit for the church’s encouragement & connection to God.

Lance Chamberlain

For me, worship is about how we position ourselves, both physically and spiritually, before God. It’s so connected to how we live our lives. My hope is that during the musical part of the service, we can position ourselves to live out God's justice and mercy every day.
