9:15am - EDUCATION HOUR
WEST HILLS TALKS
West Hills Talks features short, significant talks dealing with contemporary Christian issues modeled after “TED Talks”. Each week there will be a different speaker followed by a thoughtful discussion.
OLD TESTAMENT CLASS
Though this class is in depth and at times difficult, that does not mean that you won't be able to participate. Please come and try us out, you will be amazed how much you will actually pick up and learn. So Honestly you don't have to be a scholar, all that matters is a willingness to do the work and once in class you will discover that you actually were able to participate quite well in the classroom discussions, and that much of Isaiah's text has now become part of you.
Please come and visit, you will like what you see and hear.
HEART IN MIND CLASS
This unit is an opportunity for Christians to come together and share how they rely on, or question, their faith in God as they work through the trials and tribulations of everyday life. Sacred or mundane, no topic is off-limits. The format is unplanned, encouraging members to bring to the class the topics that are most important in their lives at the moment. Scripture, life experience, and the encouragement of others are the tools used to explore how God works in our lives. Attendance varies week-to-week; feel free to check us out or drop in from time to time. (We are better "experienced" than "explained".) Class is held in the Prayer Room.
10:30am - WORSHIP SERVICE
At West Hills Covenant, we strive to create space for authentic connection with the living God and one another. Jesus truly is the center of what we do, and this is certainly reflected in our weekly worship. Find out more about our worship service and what to expect on Sundays.
THROUGHOUT THE WEEK
8:00am on Wednesdays
The prayer group meets on in the prayer room or mother's room next to the nursery. All are welcome to come and pray. We read a devotion from the Covenant Home Altar and then pray. We follow the format of (ACTS) Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication or (PRAY) Praise, Repent, Ask, Yield. We pray for people, the church, our missionaries, the government, world concerns and whatever the Holy Spirit lays on our hearts.
LADIES BIBLE STUDY
9:00am on Wednesdays
For fall 2018, we are studying Voice of God by Priscilla Shirer. To register, please contact Claudia Kardos or Joyce Booth
