Qtrly Council/Commission meeting- 12/5/10

 A.   General meeting minutes:

• Key operative word from Luke to Council and Commissions is "collaboration". We are a congregational form of governance and thus congregation owns ultimate responsibility for ministry of WHCC. They delegate the authority to Council to appoint Commissions to oversee various areas of ministry focus based on Council goals and direction jointly discerned.
• Commissions are annually reviewed by Council according to Bi-laws to determine continued direction and focus.
• Council conduct Qtrly cong meetings and include Commission reports as available
• Commissions can share w/cong at other worship service opportunities as desired
• As part of collaboration, key words seeming to bubble up are "communication and connection"- wkly updates, website updates, worship service platform announcements, multi-generational activities, communication within groups, between groups, to outside community
